Nationals of countries in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland can live and work in the UK without needing to apply for permission under the UK's points-based system. From 1 May 2011, nationals of the above countries can work in the UK without any restrictions.
Bulgaria and Romania
Bulgaria and Romania are now also part of the EEA and nationals from these countries do not require leave to enter or reside in the UK. However, an accession worker card may need to be obtained for most types of work; and the University may also need to obtain a work permit before work can commence.
