Microsoft Exchange, the application that manages the University email service is being upgraded to Exchange 2010. This change will give the University flexibility to improve the management of the email service behind the scenes, focussing on the functionality which improves reliance, storage and archiving. Upgrading to Exchange 2010 will bring us up to the latest levels of technology providing a platform for future developments.
As an email user, you won't actually notice any difference initially through Outlook and you will continue to access your email as you always have done. However Outlook Web Access will straight away provide a much improved interface and greater functionality on non Internet Explorer browsers such as Firefox and Safari.
Mobile phones and Exchange 2010
