LLR service charter
We recognise that quality services can only be achieved in partnership with our customers, so our commitment to you is that we will:
- provide a friendly, helpful, professional service
- make available materials and information resources appropriate to your needs
- train and develop our staff so that they can provide a quality service
- do our utmost to provide an environment appropriate to your study needs
- help you develop the necessary information skills for independent lifelong learning
- continue to innovate and improve what we do to provide the best possible service to you
- provide opportunities for you to comment and give feedback on our services and respond as appropriate
- publicise our range of services, regulations, and opening hours and keep you informed of any changes
- publicise our service standards and our performance against them annually.
You can help us by:
- treating staff and other users with respect and courtesy
- taking good care of library materials, property and equipment and following the borrowing guidelines
- treating LLR facilities with respect and using the study space as it is designated for quiet, silent or group use
- respecting the rules on eating, drinking and using mobile phones in designated areas only
- being responsible for taking advantage of the opportunities for acquiring information skills
- complying with copyright law and contractual restrictions on the use of electronic and print resources
- telling us what you think of our services and how they might be improved.

Rules and regulations
When using LLR facilities, your conduct is governed by the full range of University Regulations, including the LLR Regulations and Procedures.
A breach of the regulations, including inappropriate behaviour or behaviour that is disruptive to other users, may result in a fine or suspension from using LLR facilities.
