Licences
Copyright licences
Licensing schemes exist to enable us to make use of copyright works we, as a University, own or have access to by extending any existing provisions currently outlined in copyright legislation. Some of the licences the university uses are listed below:
- Copyright Licensing Agency (CLA) - The university holds the CLA Basic Photocopying and Scanning Licence for Higher Education
- Educational Recording Agency (ERA) - The University holds the ERA Plus Licence
- Newspaper Licensing Agency (NLA) - The university holds the NLA Higher Education Licence
- Open University (OU) - There is a separate licence for the recording of OU material. OU programmes are not covered by the ERA licence.
