LLR tutorial
The Academic Liaison Team has produced an interactive online tutorial called Litskills which is designed to help you develop the key skills needed to effectively locate, evaluate and use information.
There are short self-test quizzes for each section, finishing with a longer assessment to check you are able to fulfil the following learning outcomes:
- understand the various steps in the research process
- select appropriate information resources for your specific needs
- construct a search strategy
- undertake a comprehensive search using different information resources
- critically evaluate information resources
- understand the importance and methods of referencing
- have a basic understanding of legal compliance - copyright and plagiarism
- development of life long learning skills.
