Special Collections

The University holds a number of collections and archives. These are separately identified and managed because of their rarity, source, condition, form, or subject coverage and which relate to specific areas of research excellence within NTU. The majority of the University's Special Collections are relevant to recovery research in English literature, with a particular focus on labouring-class poetry and modern literary manuscripts, but also including travel writing.

The main archives and collections are housed in a special store at the Clifton Campus Library. All items are for reference use in the library only and some may also carry further conditions imposed by the donor or for preservation reasons. Access to the Special Collections is by prior arrangement only.
