Borrowing
The NTU staff and researcher allowances web page gives full details of borrowing allowances, loan periods and information on renewals and reservations.

Inter library loans
If you require material not held within LLR, then you can request it via our Inter-library Loans Service.

Using other libraries
SCONUL Access replaces the previous SCONUL Research Extra scheme and allows staff and postgraduate students to access and borrow from most other higher education libraries in the UK and Ireland.

To register you need to complete an application form downloaded from the SCONUL Access website and bring it to the Information Desk in any of the NTU libraries, together with your NTU smart card. After the usual checks on your status, you will be given a SCONUL Access card, which you can then use at any of the participating libraries. Please note that IT/e-library facilities are not usually available under this scheme.

Our main using other libraries web page gives further information and links to other library catalogues.

Copyright
The LLR Copyright web page offers guidance and FAQs on this subject.

RefWorks
RefWorks is the reference management software supported by LLR. It is designed to help you gather, manage, store and share your references. The software is web-based and can therefore be used both on and off campus. You will need your University username and password to log in.

Journal citation reports
Journal Citation Reports (JCR) is a resource which allows you to evaluate and compare journals using the ISI citation data. It allows you to see the most frequently cited and highest impact journals in most science and social science subjects. JCR is one of the Web of Knowledge databases, and can be accessed via Library OneSearch.

UK universities and HE institutions
The UK Active Map contains links to all UK Universities and HE Institutions. Search options include information on research, staff, QAA reports and profiles such as UCAS and HERO.
