Academic Liaison Team
The Academic Liaison Team can provide you with help and advice on:
- Literature searching and accessing information resources
- Keeping up to date with your research interests, including RSS feeds, social media, email discussion lists and discussion boards
- Copyright and research
- Reference management and bibliographic software, including Refworks and freely available desktop tools such as Mendeley
- Promoting and disseminating your research, including:
o Depositing items in IRep
o Advice on impact factors and citation data, and where to find information on the best places to publish your research
o Open access publishing
o Using Web 2.0 technologies to disseminate and promote you research
Your Liaison Librarian can provide individual or group training sessions on any of the above to you, or your students
Research training events
The library provide a number of training events to assist you with your research, including:
- Raising your research profile
- Researching for your MPhil/PhD
- Introductory and advanced Refworks
Training events are provided on all three campus libraries and can be booked online.
If the sessions listed do not meet your needs, we are happy to offer customised training to you or your students on a group or individual basis. Please contact your Liaison Librarian for more details.
