- Welcome to the Boots Library. Use your University Smartcard to gain access and to borrow library materials.
- Information about opening hours, borrowing allowances and much more is available at our website.
- The library has self service issue and return machines. Swipe your University Smartcard to borrow and return books. Staff at the reception desk can provide assistance.
- The library has over 1,000 PCs in total, giving access to the internet, email and Microsoft Office. Some machines have assistive technologies. There are also printers, scanners and photocopiers.
- The Boots Library is a wireless zone.
- Library OneSearch will help you to find books and journals on the shelves, look for the shelfmark numbers. The book stock is located on the first and second floors.
- You can access Library OneSearch via the NTU Library website, NOW, your student portal or Look and Book PCs.
- The ground floor is designated an amber zone for quiet study.
- Ask at the Information Desk for help in finding information, enquiries about loans, borrowing laptops, using PCs, printers, photocopiers and scanners. For more detailed subject enquiries you will be referred to a Liaison Librarian.
- The Short Loan Collection houses audio-visual material and items in heavy demand. The collection has its own photocopier and self-service issue machine. Most items can be borrowed overnight or for four hours.
- Group study rooms are available. Book and collect a key from the Information Desk.
