- The first floor houses the majority of the bookstock.
- You will find books here with the shelfmarks of all numbers except 340-349. Notices indicate which numbers and subject areas are on which shelves.
- Art and Design Monographs (books about specific artists) and Art Exhibition Catalogues are shelved in alphabetical order by the name of the artist.
- Art and Design Oversize books are shelved here in a separate sequence.
- The area has been designated an amber zone for quiet study.
- Group Study Rooms are available with occupancy between 8-20 depending on the size of the room.
- The far end of this floor has been designated a red zone for silent study.
