Ensembles
We have several musical ensembles to choose from at the University. They range from our choir of over 100 singers, to our orchestra and band with a full range of string, brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. Or, if you prefer something more intimate, we also have an auditioned chamber choir. All of these groups meet regularly and we are always looking to recruit new members.
If that’s not really what you are looking for, you might be interested in some of the student-led societies, which cover musical genres such as hip-hop, jazz and metal.
Friends of Music
Our Friends of Music at NTU scheme enables family, friends, colleagues and followers to show their support for the members of the choirs and the orchestra.
Meet the team
The Nottingham Trent University Music Team is led by our Director of Music, the internationally-recognised choral and orchestral conductor Matthew Hopkins. The team also consists of highly experienced teachers in a variety of musical fields.
