Work placements
Nottingham Business School actively encourages its students to undertake an invaluable work placement during their time of study. We equip our students not simply with theory, but with practical and valuable work experience which is mutually beneficial to the firms that Nottingham Business School work with on placements.
Our undergraduate sandwich courses allow you to take part in a one-year paid placement. We also offer the BA (Hons) Business Management (In-company) course whereby students spend their first year at NTU and the following two years on placement, and the BA (Hons) Management course, a three year fast track degree incorporating a sandwich year. Short-term internships are also available on the BA (Hons) Marketing course.
At postgraduate level, a live consultancy project is an essential part of our flagship MBA and MSc Management programmes, and there is the opportunity to take a 12-week internship on the MSc International Finance.
Work placements will give you the opportunity to:
- Develop essential personal and professional skills including confidence, communication, project and time.
- Enhance your management, team-working and problem solving skills.
- Gain an insight into the wider commercial aspects of business life including the management and client or company relationships.
- Benefit from networking opportunities.
- Discover and test your career options.
- Acquire references which will support future job applications in a highly competitive job market.
