Nottingham Economics is a consultancy unit located within the Economics Division of Nottingham Business School.
Nottingham Economics offers a range of services including:
- evaluations of the local, regional or national economic environment
- targeted contract research using appropriate tools of economic impact analysis
- bespoke short courses.
Our services can be tailored to specific client needs or objectives in both the public and private sector. Depending on the requirement, a local, regional, national or international focus can also be applied.
Nottingham Economics has recently provided consultancy expertise to organisations such as East Midlands Development Agency, East Midlands Regional Assembly, Nottingham City Council, the Office of Government Commerce, Nottingham Trent University and the Greater Nottingham Partnership.

Nottingham Economics is headed up by Dr Andy Cooke, whose current research interests lie in the application of cost-benefit analysis and the economics of sport (particularly cricket and ice hockey). His research focused previously on environmental issues including the economics of the waste disposal industry and voluntary environmental compliance.
