Each programme is designed to have a strong experiential workplace orientation, requiring managers to take their learning back into the workplace through work-based assignments and projects.

Bespoke management development
Addressing clearly identified development needs for client organisations, Nottingham Business School offers a bespoke approach to management development that applies leading ideas and concepts to real business issues.
Executive and leadership development
The Business School focuses on in-company and customised executive and leadership development which takes the form of programmes, short courses and master classes. We employ a wide range of approaches and interventions appropriate to this level of leader.
Short courses
The Business School runs a full programme of short courses designed to keep participants up to date with the latest management thinking and enrich understanding in the areas of: Strategy, Growth and Sustainability; Contemporary Management; Health, Safety and Crisis Specific Management; and Public Sector Management.
Graduate development
We offer short development courses and accredited programmes designed specifically for graduate recruits engaged in first-line managerial roles.
Qualification programmes
A key feature of Nottingham Business School's activity is that its programmes can be linked to an appropriate level qualification. The Business School provides a range of tailored award bearing programmes, including the Masters/Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Management accredited by the University. As well as generic awards these can also be company or sector specific.

Coaching and mentoring
Coaching has emerged as an important discipline for leaders and managers wishing to enhance their own skills and improve the performance of individual employees and organisations. Through our experienced academic-practitioners, the Business School can deliver coaching for individuals, bespoke coaching short courses or provide a consultancy service for organisations at all levels.
