Overseas internships
The School's Placement and Employment Service (PES) provides a support service for students looking for placements or internships both inside and outside of the UK. We have an outstanding record for the number and quality of student placements offered and undertaken, and there has been a conscious effort to post more students overseas.
International internships are generally accepted on most academic programmes (sandwich mode) and are a set requirement of the BA (Hons) International Business. Since 2004/05, approximately 70 students per annum have completed undergraduate work placements outside of the UK and many UK-based placements have also provided opportunity for international travel, project work and/or secondments. Recent international employers include: Merrill Lynch (Los Angeles); Levi Strauss & Co. (Brussels); Lloyds TSB (Madrid); Ernst & Young (Bermuda); and WorldEx (Hong Kong).
