Students and alumni
Nottingham Business School has a specific aim to recruit the most able students from around the world, ensuring both quality and diversity in its student populations. To assist in international recruitment, NBS works closely with NTU's International Development Office (IDO) which supports the School's activities in major recruitment markets such as China, India, Russia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Pakistan and Nigeria.
Our international outreach in figures:
- 20% of the students joining Nottingham Business School each year are international students, with over 80 different nationalities represented on campus.
- 50 academic partners around the world either welcome (exchange) students from NBS or register local students on NTU accredited awards.
- 15% of the internships carried out by NBS students are undertaken outside of the UK, with an increasing number of students combining work and study abroad.
As an international school, we are committed to developing and increasing international student numbers year-on-year, through our own recruitment programmes and a number of partnerships including that with the Nottingham Trent International College.
Students coming to Nottingham Business School must be those with a high level of English language competence (equivalent to IELTS 6.5).
NBS also welcomes incoming exchange students. Suitable candidates need to be nominated by their home institutions, which in turn must have a current exchange agreement and must register for at least one semester of study. Students should also have completed a minimum of two years study in a business faculty/school in their home country except where a special arrangement with the home institution exists.
