Professor Leighton Vaughan Williams, Professor of Economics and Finance
Leighton is Head of Economics Research and Director of the Betting Research Unit and Political Forecasting Unit at Nottingham Business School. Leighton's main teaching is in the area of money, risk, forecasting, efficiency of markets and financial economics.
Professor Malcolm Prowle, Professor of Business Performance
Professor Prowle is involved in teaching various aspects of financial management, strategic planning and performance management on a wide range of postgraduate programmes.
He also undertakes research in a number of fields and has an extensive publications record including six full length books. He is also a frequent commentator on regional and national media on matters concerned with economic and business policy and the finance of public services.
Chris Lawton, Senior Research Fellow, Economic Strategy Research Bureau (ESRB)
Chris is a member of the research and consultancy centre in Nottingham Business School, the Economic Strategy Research Bureau. His principle role is to produce research and analysis for a range of projects for local and central Government. Recent work includes studies on employment & skills and education & training issues in the Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire (D2N2) Local Enterprise Partnership area.
Christopher Clarke, Lecturer / Senior Lecturer, Accounting and Finance
Chris joined the NBS Accounting and Finance team in 2012. The ex-Goldman Sachs executive director has 21 years’ experience in trading global financial markets, including his current position of hedge fund manager at Lawrence Clarke Investment Management LLP.
Alistair Mutch, Professor of Information and Learning, Human Resource Management
Alistair supervises students on Doctor of Business Administration programme as well as contributing to the taught programme. He is also module leader for the final year undergraduate module, Managing Information and Knowledge Strategically, and also teaches information management on a range of postgraduate courses.
He has taught on many in-company programmes for clients including LloydsTSB, TNT, Network Rail and Anglian Water.
