Nottingham Trent University ranked first for graduate employment

It's official - a Nottingham Trent University qualification provides the ideal preparation for success in the graduate jobs market.  Statistics released today have given the University an emphatic top ranking for its graduate employment rates.

The Performance Indicator figures, revealed by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), positions Nottingham Trent University in joint first place for graduate employability among all the multi-discipline universities in England and Wales.

They highlight how almost 98 per cent of its graduates with first degrees from full-time study are employed or engaged in further study six months after leaving.

The HESA figures also reveal more good news for the university - it has the highest projected percentage of full-time students leaving with a degree and the lowest non-continuation rates of all post 1992 universities.

Nottingham Trent University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Neil Gorman, said that the latest employability statistics - coupled with HESA data highlighting how the University boasts the third highest number of year-long industry placements in the UK - reflect the University’s outstanding reputation with employers.

He added: “Our graduates thrive in the jobs market because of the University’s commitment to educational quality, its versatile course portfolio and its powerful links with business and industry.

“This year’s graduates are leaving Nottingham Trent University with a wide range of qualities much sought-after by employers.  I am sure that they have the talent, confidence and drive to make a positive impact on the societies in which they will live and work.”
