Knowledge Transfer Partnership creating significant benefits

Leading academics from Nottingham Trent University have teamed up with business advisers, Cooper Parry, to work on a Knowledge Transfer Partnership. This collaborative partnership is looking at how businesses can most effectively share knowledge.

The project was initiated by Cooper Parry’s Chief Executive, Jeremy Bowler, who approached the former Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to help gain the specialist expertise required. The DTI made the link with Nottingham Trent University and together they developed the partnership with the aim to yield significant benefits to both parties.

To deliver the project, Mark Bolton was appointed by the partnership. Mark said: “To maximise the value we create for our customers we need to have effective tools, techniques and strategies in place to share knowledge across the firm. The project, which we’ve been working on for the past year, is helping us do just that, enabling Cooper Parry to respond faster to customer needs, preventing us from re-inventing the wheel.”

Jeremy Bowler commented: “Mark is doing a great job and working with the university has given us access to fantastic advice and guidance. Sharing knowledge is key for any business and we are committed to learning from our experience and using this to help others.”
