Professor David Lamond, former Director and CEO of the Sydney Graduate School of Management (SGSM), has been appointed Associate Dean of Nottingham Business School at Nottingham Trent University. Awarded a Doctor of Philosophy from the Macquarie University, Australia, as well as a Masters in Public Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Professor Lamond has enjoyed a successful career as a leading international figure in business academia.
Roles as Director of Academic Programs and Director of Special Projects at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM) saw David develop a series of corporate-executive education and awards programs for Astra Pharmaceuticals, McDonalds, Deutsche Bank and Siemens. Moving to the Sydney Graduate School of Management in 2002, he then went on to successfully lead the integration of SGSM as the Graduate School of the newly restructured College of Business in the University of Western Sydney, whilst developing a clear vision and philosophy with which to guide the operations of the school into the future.
David also has extensive experience as an international consultant for private, public and not for profit sectors in the UK, Australia, Indonesia, China and Singapore. His most recent assignment - in the latter half of 2007 - was to act as Founding Dean and Professor for the Kochi International Business School (KiBS) in its initial start-up phase.
Professor Baback Yazdani, Dean of Nottingham Business School said: “We’re delighted to have appointed David as our new Associate Dean.
