Welcome to the Nottingham Law School alumni web pages.

At NLS, we are always looking to keep in touch with our graduates as their careers develop.

Working closely with the main Nottingham Trent University Alumni office, we are keen to maintain links with previous students that relate specifically to the Law School.

Here you'll find details of the various ways of remaining in contact with us, from attending guest lectures to providing a career profile highlighting the benefits of a qualification from Nottingham Law School.

Alternatively, you can contact us by email for any other questions or information you might need to know about the Law School.

Thank you for your help and support!

Keeping in touch

Your award from Nottingham Trent University and Nottingham Law School grants you automatic membership of the University's alumni association, where you are part of a worldwide community of over 90,000 other alumni. Full details on the wider NTU Alumni Association and the benefits of membership can be found here via the central alumni website.

As well as the general NTU benefits, NLS alumni are regularly invited back to the Law School for networking events and guest lectures.

Supporting NLS

We are aware that many of our alumni are keen to stay involved with the Law School and often wish to give something back. As an alumni, there are many ways in which you can support the School and current students:

  • Projects
  • Placements
  • Open days/fairs
  • Guest lectures

Placements

Nottingham Trent University comes second in the UK for the number of students participating in year-long legally related work placements (HESA performance figures 2006/07), and is therefore committed to the value of the placement experience in producing mature, 'vocationally-focused' graduates.

Some of you may have undertaken placements as part of your degree, and now may be in a position to offer placements within your company. If so, we would like to encourage you to get in touch with the Placements Office via email, to find out about the programmes on offer and how to go about employing a placement student.

Attending Law School open days/evenings and fairs

Prospective students are always keen to speak to former graduates to assist their decision making.

If you would like to help with Law School Fairs and events, please contact us via email for details of our events programme.

Guest lectures/event speakers

Keen to share your words of wisdom with current students or other alumni?

Since graduation you may have gone onto a specialist field in law or have gathered knowledge and experience that you would like to share with others and benefit current students potentially seeking to embark on a similar career route.

For more information please contact us.
