Contact us
Thank you for contacting Nottingham Law School Legal Advice Clinic. We aim to contact you within five working days of your enquiry. Unfortunately we cannot deal with urgent matters.
The clinic will be open most Monday evenings from 5.30 pm – 9 pm during term time. Attendance is by appointment only.
For non-urgent matters we will need to obtain some basic information about your case and details of any other parties involved. At that stage, if we can help, we will offer you an appointment with our student advisers at one of our Monday evening clinics and will confirm the appointment in writing. Following your appointment, if the clinic can assist you will receive a letter of advice, normally within two weeks. If we are unable to assist then we will always try to refer you to another body or organisation who may be able to help you.
If you require representation at a local Employment Tribunal we will contact you as soon as possible.
No charge is made for the service.
The clinic offers an advice and information service on a range of issues. However, we currently cannot advise on immigration, family matters (such as divorce or child care proceedings) or criminal matters. The clinic is also unable to provide assistance if it involves, or could involve, taking any action against Nottingham Trent University or a related body, employees or current students.
If you need help on one of these areas, or if you cannot wait for us to help you we suggest that you contact your local advice centre or service, details of which can be found in the telephone directory under the heading Information Services, Legal Services and Solicitors.
Submit your enquiry for free legal advice online or by email. Alternatively, you can call and leave a message on our 24-hour answer phone: +44 (0)115 848 4262. Unfortunately, we cannot provide urgent advice or assistance.
