Fee payment information for international students 2011/12
To be fully enrolled onto your course, we need to know how your tuition fees are being met. We request that tuition fees are
either paid in full or an instalment arrangement is in place at the start of the course. Please note if you have not paid
or made arrangements to pay your fees, you will be temporary enrolled and given notice to arrange payment.
Advanced payments All International (non-EEA) students are required to make an advanced payment of £3,000 when accepting their offer to secure
a place on the programme. This includes students that have completed a pre-sessional English course (PEAP) at NTU and also
students that may be entitled to a full or part bursary. N.B this does not include students progressing from the NTIC – see
below.
This advanced payment will be deducted from the overall tuition fee when the remainder of the fees are paid or an instalment
arrangement is set up. Please see details below on when and how to pay the remainder of your fees.
How can I pay my advanced payment? You can pay your advanced payment online. Payment can also be taken over the phone by contacting our finance cashiers on +44 (0)115 848 8707. Please have your credit/debit
card details ready. Or you can pay by bank transfer or bank draft, see below for further details.
What if my visa is refused? Advanced payments are only refundable in the case of visa refusal or failure to meet your academic conditions. If your visa
is refused, you must send us evidence of this in the form of a visa refusal stamp in your passport and a letter from the Entry
Clearance Officer which outlines the decision they have made.
What happens if my fees are below £3,000? If the total cost of the tuition fees falls below £3,000, you will be requested to pay the whole amount of the fees at registration.
No instalment arrangements can be offered.
I am studying a PEAP Programme, how can I pay my tuition fees? For 40 week and 30 week courses, you have the option of paying in two instalments (see below for details on when and how to
pay your fees). For all other PEAP courses, you need to pay for the fees in full. All PEAP students are required to pay the
advanced payment of £3,000 for the main course at NTU.
What if I am a student progressing to NTU from NTIC in 2011? If you are a student progressing from NTIC in 2011, you will not have to pay an advanced notice. You will need to either pay
your tuition fees in full, or set up three instalment payments by 3 October 2011.
For NTIC progression students only, instalment plan dates are as follows:
- 3 October 2011 (one third of annual fees)
- 16 January 2012 (one third of annual fees)
- 18 April 2012 (one third of annual fees)
When do I pay my tuition fees? You can pay all or the remainder of your tuition fees in full, or set up two instalment payments by the 3 October 2011.
For courses starting in Sept/October, instalment dates are as follows:
