Research teams
Our research is split broadly across five domains, each of which is associated with a research group. The research groups are:
- Applied Economics and Policy
- Employment, Learning and Knowledge Management
- Technology Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship
- Public Service Management
- Consumer Services: Retailing, Leisure and Tourism
Within the Business School research has a particular focus on application. This includes both policy-based and practice-based research shaping the activities of those at work in business, those managing businesses, the business organisations themselves and the bodies that support and regulate the world of business.
The range of outputs from research activity is diverse. Alongside articles in academic and professional journals of the highest standing, staff also contribute working papers, research reports, and conference papers. Staff from the Business School currently have more than 40 books in print, including several market leading texts. There are also active research seminar programmes within the school, most notably in Economics, Human Resource Management and Accounting and Finance.
