Facilities
The School of Science and Technology is a stimulating and creative environment which equips students with the knowledge and transferable skills to put them ahead of the graduate crowd.
We provide state-of-the-art facilities that enhance the quality of our education and push the boundaries of our research.

Taking on the role of crime scene examiners, students benefit from this facility's ability to create realistic scenarios ranging from burglaries and assaults to searches for illegal substances.

Approved by the British Olympic Association, the chamber enables control of environmental variables such as temperature, humidity and altitude, and allows internal climate conditions to be matched with anywhere on the planet.

Opened in 2006 with an investment of £350,000, the facility houses world-class laser processing equipment, a class 100 clean-room and X-ray security imaging and complements liquid crystals, optical imaging and magnetic imaging research.

Built in 2002 at a cost of £2.3 million, this facility supports the School’s extensive biomedical research activities.

Part of the Natural Sciences Research Facility, this laboratory includes a suite of materials MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) instruments, optical coherence tomography and a remote hyperspectral imaging system.

The Natural Sciences Research Facility supports and enhances the School’s research in physics, biosciences, chemistry, imaging, materials and sport.

Part of the Natural Sciences Research Facility, this modern laboratory includes a high-specification motion analysis system.

A new centre which capitalises on NTU’s world leading research into cancer biomarkers and immunotherapy.
