In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) 70% of the activity in Architecture and Built Environment was internationally recognised, and 30% was considered internationally excellent. The School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment has some 40 PhD students undertaking original investigations and developing fresh ideas.

The scholarships will pay UK / EU fees and provide a maintenance stipend linked to the RCUK rate for up to three years.
