Groups and Centres

Student undertaking sports research

The University’s research groups are a communications catalyst for the activity of hundreds of academic staff members. The groups encourage exploration, enquiry and collaboration between staff and students. More than 70 research groups work across the nine academic Schools with an aim to shape lives and society.

These specialist centres are focal points for research across the University. They vary hugely in scope, ranging from the £7.75million Van Geest Research Centre and its diagnostic research and cancer vaccine development, to the Centre for Legal Research, promoting research at all levels within Nottingham Law School.

NTU is fantastic, the support and encouragement I have received has enabled me to carry out this research to a much higher level.
