Cyberpsychology
Research in this group focuses on the psychological processes relating to the cyberworld. In particular, current research interests relate to the psychology of gambling, online relationships and computer gaming. Areas of research expertise within this group include:
- Online relationships (e.g. online dating, cyber-flirting)
- Adolescent gambling, slot machine, lottery and internet gambling
- Cognitive and pro-social behaviour associated with console and online gaming
- Internet infidelity and online deception
- Behavioural addiction (e.g. internet addiction, exercise addiction)
- Social networking; internet surveillance in the workplace
- Online identity
- Online criminal behaviours (e.g. fraud, cyberstalking)
