European Politics
The major areas of research conducted by this group are the politics of the European Union, German Politics and Russian Politics. Group members have published their research in major journals such as:

- The Journal of Communist Studies and Transition Politics
- German Politics
- Political Quarterly.
Since 2001, under the supervision of members of this group, three students have completed their doctoral research.
