Brackenhurst estate is home to a commercial farm and training centre for agriculture-allied businesses.

The 200 hectare estate offers the perfect learning environment for practical training. Working with industry accreditation such as the National Proficiency Tests Centre (NPTC), Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) and Trading Standards Institute (TSI) we can guarantee our courses develop the skills and knowledge employers are looking for.

As the changing economy puts greater pressures on time and resources, our wide portfolio of part-time and short courses offer a bottom line return for employers and students alike in terms of efficiency, technical qualifications and value for money.

Professional development
Many agricultural employers sponsor employees to undertake our main agriculture qualification as part of their professional development. This can be done on a part-time or full-time basis.

We also offer short (one to five days) courses focusing on specialist skills and NPTC awards:

Commercial farming, livestock and trials
Please get in touch with the Rural Knowledge and Enterprise Centre to discuss commercial opportunities on the estate including:

  • agricultural trials
  • poultry trials
  • lambing
  • our Lincoln Red beef cattle (and bull).
