Confocal Microscopy

Leica DM-RBE upright confocal microscope -Ar (488 and 514nm), Kr (531nm) and He Ne (632nm)
Leica DM-IRBE inverted confocal microscope -Ar (488 and 514nm), Kr (531nm) and He Ne (632nm)

Our Leica microscopes allow normal and inverted three-dimensional images of samples to be made with resolution depending upon the lenses used. They are furnished with filters for popular fluorescent dyes to allow fluorescent imaging of tissues and cell cultures. The light source can be selected from three lasers, allowing high resolution and high light intensity.

Our instruments are mostly used for biological research as live samples can be used without damage. They have also been used to image surface structures on microfabricated samples.
