The School of Science and Technology at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is situated on Clifton campus. It has a diverse international population and a thriving community of over 7,000 students. Our multi-disciplinary approach enables you to study traditional scientific disciplines such as Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics alongside emerging modern fields such as computing and technology, engineering, forensics, sport science and biomedical sciences.

Clifton Campus

Clifton campus is a self-contained greenfield site with its own Students' Union bar, gym, shop, cafes, library and brand new accommodation. If you like sport and fitness, you will love Clifton campus, as it is home to the new Lee Westwood Sports Centre.

You will also find it easy to get out and about from Clifton campus. Our award-winning Unilink bus service runs every 12 minutes taking students to and from Clifton campus and the City site.

International scholarships

We offer a wide range of Science scholarships for international (non-EU) students applying for our postgraduate MRes and MSc courses. The University also has a number of scholarships available for International (non-EU) applicants. Find out more about NTU's International Scholarships.

Top Ten for placements

NTU is in the top ten British universities for the number of students taking year-long work placements (HESA data 2010 / 11). The University has over 6,000 corporate connections and links with industry which explains why we are so highly ranked for placements, we are also one of a few universities in the UK to offer work placements at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Routes to our Computing courses

If you don't meet the entry requirements for our Computing courses, Nottingham Trent International College (NTIC) can help. It offers Diplomas and Graduate Diplomas in Computing which combine English language with computing and technology subject tuition. These courses can provide access to the first and second years of our computing undergraduate degrees from the Diploma and on our postgraduate courses from the Graduate Diploma. 

Helping you to improve your English

If it’s not your first language, studying English can take a little time to get used to. That’s why Nottingham Language Centre offers you support throughout your course. We can help you to learn new academic study skills and give you subject specific support.

Global network

The School has a global network of agency representatives who work closely with the School in order to advise students on the opportunities for studying at NTU. This network is supported by visits from institutional representatives who conduct interviews, seminars and presentations.
