Please note if you are considering a part-time route that runs over more than one year, the tuition fee stated is for the first year of study. The course fee for the second year is subject to annual review.
MRes Sport Science - bursaries
Bursaries of up to £2,000 are available to students who would like to develop a specific area of expertise. Projects are available in all areas including, but not limited to:
- Sports Performance
- Performance Analysis
- Sport Nutrition
- Exercise Physiology, including Environmental Physiology
- Molecular Exercise Physiology
- Exercise Biochemistry
- Biomechanics
- Kinesiology and Sports Injuries
- Sports Psychology.

International Science scholarship Scheme 2012/13
If you are an international student, designated as an overseas fee payer, you may be eligible for one of the School of Science and Technology’s International Science scholarship opportunities.
Important information
- Each applicant is eligible for only one award.
- Only self-funded students are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
- Successful scholarship applicants will be informed after the closing dates.

Biosciences
For students who have applied to a Bioscience course, starting in October 2012 or January 2013.
Courses eligible with a 50% reduction in course fees:
- MSc Biotechnology
- MSc Molecular Cell Biology
- MSc Neuroscience
- MSc Pharmacology
- MRes Applied Biosciences
- MSc by Research Applied Biosciences
- MRes Bioinformatics
- MSc Bioinformatics
- MSc Biomedical Science.
Chemistry
For students who have applied to a Chemistry course, starting in October 2012 or January 2013.
Courses eligible with a 50% reduction in course fees:
- MSc Chemistry/Chemistry (Professional Practice)
- MRes Advanced Materials Engineering
- MRes Analytical Chemistry
- MRes Pharmaceutical Analysis
- MRes Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Science.
Sport
For students who have applied to a Sport course starting in October 2012.
Courses eligible with a 50% reduction in course fees:
- MRes Sport Science
- MSc International Performance Analysis of Sport.
Computing and Technology
For students who have applied to a Computing courses starting in October 2012.
Courses eligible with a £3,000 reduction in course fees:
- MSc Computer Science
- MSc Internet and Enterprise Computing
- MSc Internet and Security.
Physics
For students who have applied to a Physics course starting in October 2012.
Course eligible with a 50% reduction in course fees:
- MRes Medical and Materials Imaging
Forensic
For students who have applied to a Forensic course starting in October 2012 or January 2013.
Course eligible with a 50% reduction in course fees:
- MSc Forensic Science and Technology.
African Scholarships
