The total funding for The John van Geest Cancer Research Centre for 2005-2009 was £15.7m. The core funding given to us by the John and Lucille van Geest Foundation accounts for 52%. The actual value of the award in 2008 was £7.8m which is to cover the partial cost of a purpose-built cancer research centre and the research.
