Clifton campus

The School of Science and Technology is based on the University’s Clifton campus. This is an attractive, self-contained greenfield site, just outside Nottingham city centre. The campus is home to many of NTU’s sporting facilities including all-weather pitches, playing fields, indoor sports halls and fitness gym. As well as over 700 en-suite bedrooms, the student village offers many dedicated services including a shop, refectory, café, bookshop, car parking and the Student Union’s Point bar and diner.

Erasmus Darwin building

The Erasmus Darwin building is the centre for our science teaching, academic offices and study space. It is ideally located at the heart of our major facilities and research space, and is a short walk to the library. The Erasmus Darwin building is number one on the campus map above. The Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research Centre (IBRC) is attached to the Erasmus Darwin building and is an innovative research facility.

The Erasmus Darwin building is located at the south end of the campus, close to the South Gate entrance and parking. The main entrance is marked by a ‘Mammoth’ sculpture created by artist Kim James and donated to NTU.

Centre for Effective Learning in Science / Natural Sciences Research Centre

The Centre for Effective Learning in Science (CELS) and the School’s Natural Sciences Research Centre (NSRC) were opened in 2007. The building houses a number of specialist facilities to support outreach work and scientific research.

This building is located next to the Clifton campus bus stop towards the southern end of the campus. Adjacent buildings include the Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research Centre and Sports Hall.
