Business is booming in Nottingham

Nottingham is a compact city ideally located in the centre of England. In recent years it has become a regional centre for business and the professions, including the public sector, creative sector, and the financial and business services, which now dominate the economy. Its central location and excellent transport links to all major UK cities and Europe ensures Nottingham will continue to be a regional focus for business, attracting a flexible and skilled workforce.

With a growing concentration of public sector organisations in the area, Nottingham has established itself as the regional administrative centre of the East Midlands. Nottingham also supports a combination of large international companies complemented by a buoyant, ambitious small and medium sized business sector.

Getting around

Nottingham has something to offer everyone with fascinating heritage, diverse culture, expanding retail quarters and burgeoning arts scene.

With a comprehensive network of rail links and a 24 hour Skylink bus service from East Midlands Airport - situated just 15 miles from the city centre - Nottingham is easily accessible.

Getting around Nottingham is also easy. The city centre boasts an award-winning, £200m tram system which runs from Nottingham railway station through the NTU city site to Hucknall. It's a popular route with city centre stops at major shopping areas such as the Lace Market, Old Market Square and the Royal Centre. There are also two major bus stations at the Broadmarsh and Victoria shopping centres, which cover the entire county. It's unsurprising that the Government recently rated Nottingham transport system "excellent", and it's keeping the city green.
