The School of Social Sciences offers a number of competitive scholarships for our full-time and part-time Masters courses, these include:

Masters scholarships to help fund your studies
The School of Social Sciences is delighted to announce the availability of a number of competitive scholarships up to the value of half the tuition fee for Masters courses starting in September 2013. The Scholarships are available to UK / EU students who have been offered a place to study on their chosen full-time or part-time Masters course within the School. The Scholarships are also available to International students who have been offered a place to study on their chosen full-time Masters course within the School. Sponsored students (full or part) are not eligible to apply for the scholarship scheme.

• MSc / MRes Psychological Research Methods
• MA Politics
• MA International Relations
• MA Sociology
• MA Criminology
• MA Public Health
How to apply: Fully complete the School of Social Sciences Masters scholarship application form
Before submitting your application, please ensure:
• you have received an offer to study on one of the eligible Masters courses
• that you have read and understood the terms and conditions
• that you have read and understood the personal statement criteria
• that you have completed section one of the application form
• you have completed criteria one and criteria two of section two.
Please return your completed scholarship application form and evidence that you have achieved a 2.1 or above (or equivalent) in your undergraduate degree by sending a copy of your degree certificate or official university transcript to enquiries before the application deadline.
Scholarship application deadlines
• 30 April 2013
• 30 July 2013
Scholarship applications received before 4 pm GMT on 30 April will be assessed and successful applicants will be notified of their scholarship award by 21 May 2013.
Applications received after 4 pm GMT on 30 April and before 4 pm GMT on 30 July will be assessed and successful applicants will be notified of their scholarship award by 20 August 2013.
Research bursaries
A number of bursaries are available for research projects from the University.
NTU fee reduction scheme for current students
If you are an existing NTU undergraduate student studying at the City site, Clifton campus or Brackenhurst campus and you choose to study any of the full-time Masters courses within Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Law School or the School of Social Sciences, you will automatically receive a 10% fee reduction off your course fee.
- You do not need to apply for the discount as it will automatically be deducted from your fee before enrolment.
- You can also apply for a Masters Scholarship, however the total maximum award will not exceed half the total course fee.
- The scheme is not applicable to sponsored students (either partially or fully) and applies to 2013 entry only.
- You must progress directly from your undergraduate degree to a full-time Masters course.
