International students

The School of Social Sciences aims to recruit the most able students from around the world, ensuring both quality and diversity in its student populations.

As an international school, we are committed to enhancing our cultural and intellectual diversity. We therefore like to encourage applications from students across the world who feel we can offer them the educational opportunities they are seeking.

We endeavour to offer a high standard of support through our own recruitment courses and a number of partnerships, including our collaboration with Nottingham Trent International College.

Our courses

We offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and welcome international applications. A broad range of overseas qualifications are accepted. Check the NTU and Your Country pages to find out whether you have the right qualifications; this will help you decide whether you meet the entry requirements for your chosen course.

Helping you to improve your English

If English is not your first language you will need to provide evidence of your English language ability. Studying English can take a little time to get used to, that's why Nottingham Language Centre can offer you support throughout your course. It runs Pre-sessional English for Academic Purposes (PEAP) courses throughout the year to help you meet our entry requirements. In addition, Nottingham Language Centre can help you to learn new academic study skills and give you subject specific support. Our University Language Programme also runs language improvement classes.

First-class learning and teaching facilities

We've recently invested in all three of our campuses to create inspiring environments for you to study in and enjoy. As you would expect from a leading university we have the facilities to accommodate all your needs.

The Psychology Division have invested in laboratory suites ensuring students have access to the latest equipment and software as well as specialist laboratories dedicated to particular areas of interest in Psychology. Take a tour of our Psychology labs.
