This event will provide you with the opportunity to get personal, one-to-one, careers advice from successful former students (alumni) of the School of Social Sciences as well as advice from the School’s Career Consultants and Employability Coordinators.

This event will include a presentation from Linda Leaver, an alumna of the School of Social Sciences, who has achieved amazing success as an entrepreneur. Linda’s presentation will explain how the School of Social Sciences focused the direction of her career and provided her with the necessary skills to launch herself as an entrepreneur. Linda will provide useful advice on beginning and developing your chosen career path, the lessons she has learnt along the way and numerous tips for career success particularly focusing on the importance of successful networking.

Linda’s career path since leaving NTU

Linda graduated from NTU in 1984 with a Social Sciences degree. Linda then went on to set up a number of very successful organisations including; Clinigen a specialty pharmaceuticals and services business with offices in the UK, US and Japan and most recently Ellis Pharma which is a global supplier of the commercial pharmaceutical products.
