Our specialist units can provide educational services, consultancy and research specifically tailored to meet your needs.

The unit's primary objective is to conduct high quality applied criminological and criminal justice research. It also aims to disseminate knowledge as widely as possible through professional and academic publications, conferences, and seminars.

The centre has recently undertaken research funded by the Home Office and the Department for Communities and Local Government to identify good practice in the use of the media to reduce prejudice.

Based in the Division of Psychology, the unit not only conducts award winning research but also provides teaching, training, and consultancy for the emergency services and allied organisations.

A multi-disciplinary, multi-agency research group run jointly by the Psychology Division at Nottingham Trent University and the Community Educational Psychology Service (CEPS), Nottingham City Children’s Services.

The unit's primary aim is to conduct and facilitate applied forensic research in the area of sex offending and sexual crime, with the research unit sitting at the juxtaposition between the world of prison and that of academia.

With expertise in the area of gaming, risk taking and interactive technologies, the unit aims to examine attitudes and behaviour in relation to video game playing, the internet, gambling, and other interactive technologies.

The principal agenda of the unit is to examine the underlying causes of specific language impairment (SLI), a developmental disorder that affects around 7% of the population.

The WOP Research Unit seeks to advance research and knowledge in applied psychology, and specifically in the areas of work psychology and occupational health psychology. Its research focuses on work-related health and well-being, organisational behaviour, and the protection and promotion of quality of working life.
