Nottingham Crime Research Unit

The Nottingham Crime Research Unit (NCRU) was established in January 2000. The unit consists of academic and research staff with a wide range of research interests and expertise, all of whom have conducted research in previous units both at this and other academic institutions.

The primary objective is to conduct high quality criminological and criminal justice research that can be applied to crime prevention practice. The Unit also aims to disseminate knowledge as widely as possible through professional and academic publications, conferences, and seminars.

The NCRU has an ambitious vision in this connection, supported by a healthy flow of funding from internal and external sources. It also seeks to provide a stimulating and caring environment for the supervision of postgraduate research.

For further information about the unit, please contact Dr Philip Hodgson.
