Undergraduate and foundation

We hold two types of open days depending on the status of your application: pre-application and post-application open days.

The post-application open days are intended for applicants who have received an offer from us and would like to find out more about their chosen course. We will be in touch to invite you to an open day in the new year. Successful applicants to our social work course will be invited to interview rather than an open day.

The dates of the post-application open days will be confirmed in the next few weeks.

Our pre-application open days will show you NTU and the School of Social Sciences. They are designed to help you make a decision about whether we are the right place of study for you. They usually take place in July, September and October. Specific dates will be available later in the year.

Find out more about the pre-application open days at the University's dedicated open days section or book your place. You can also hear what our recent visitors thought of our open day.

Postgraduate and professional

For postgraduate and professional courses we hold a number of different events, depending on the course and time of year.

Informal Open Evenings will be taking place between 4 pm - 6.30 pm on

  • Wednesday 25 January 2012
  • Thursday 19 April 2012
  • Wednesday 13 June 2012

For further details and to book your place, visit our News and Events section or our course information pages.

If you would like to speak to a course leader for an informal chat about our courses or you have any questions about applying to study with us in the School of Social Sciences please contact us and we will be happy to help.

Book your place

Book your place on one of our open days to explore the University and Nottingham city before making your application.

If you want to find out more information about life at NTU and the School of Social Sciences in the meantime, visit our Virtual Open Day. Alternatively, find out more about our self-guided campus tours and podcasts.
