Small Sided Football

Want to play Football at university, but don’t have enough players to join the 11-a-s-side League? NTU has three different opportunities for players to play in small-sided leagues at sites across the University.

6-A-Side

Our 6-a-side competition recommences on the All-Weather Pitch at Clifton campus from Friday 25 January 2013, costing just £10 per team per week!

There are spaces for up to 12 teams in the leagues, with teams playing a 30-minute match every week, which will kick-off between 4 pm and 5.20 pm. All games will be officiated by FA qualified Referees.

To enter a team, download a 6-a-side team entry form and bring it to the Main Reception at the Lee Westwood Sports Centre or O2 Max along with £10 as a registration fee which will also cover the cost of your first fixture. Places are assigned on a first come, first served basis.

5-A-Side

2013 sees the launch of a brand new 5-a-side league at NTU. The league will be held on Sunday afternoons between 1 pm and 4 pm at Nottingham Girls High School starting from Sunday 27 January.

There is space for 16 teams to enter the league which will run up until the beginning of May. All games will be officiated by FA qualified Referees and team entry will cost just £10 per game.

To enter a team, download a 5-a-side team entry form and bring it to the Main Reception at the Lee Westwood Sports Centre or O2 Max along with £10 as a registration fee which will also cover the coast of your first fixture. Places are assigned on a first come, first served basis.

4-A-Side

Do you want to play football but don't have anyone who wants to go in goal? Do you wish that there was a football competition you could play in where you don't need a goalkeeper? On Sunday 17 February 2013 NTU will run its first ever 4-a-side Football Festival on the All-Weather Pitch at Forest Recreation Ground near to City Site and 4-a-side Football uses small goals that don't need a goalkeeper to guard them!

There is space for 24 teams to enter this tournament which will run on a Champions League group / knockout format between 11 am and 3 pm. The overall winner, along with the winners of the upcoming Brackenhurst, Basford and Hungerhill 4-a-side tournaments, will advance to the end of year 4-a-side Championship Playoffs at Clifton campus at the end of April. The entry fee for each team is only £25 for the whole tournament no matter how far they progress and all games will be officiated by FA qualified Referees.
