Nottingham Trent University offers a number of scholarship awards that are designed specifically to suit student athletes from a range of different sports. Each award is individually tailored towards the needs of the athlete to ensure that everything is put in place to help them to achieve both academic and sporting success whilst at NTU.

The scholarship programme offers awards that include a financial bursary up to £2,000 and a comprehensive range of performance support services. This package is designed to support individuals competing at a national or international level and capable of achieving success for NTU in the BUCS competitions.
We work alongside Nottingham Rugby Football Club to offer up to four Men’s Rugby Union scholarships on a yearly basis. This provides an opportunity for talented rugby players to access high quality coaching in a first class performance environment whilst also offering excellence in education and career development.
In partnership with Beeston Hockey Club and England Hockey we offer up to four Men’s Hockey scholarships on a yearly basis. The scholarship is designed to create a first class performance environment and enable players to excel at the highest level in hockey whilst also getting the most out of their university study.
By linking with a number of top Women’s Football Clubs in the local area we offer up to four Women’s Football scholarships on a yearly basis. This enables players to help balance their academic studies whilst still competing at a high level and striving towards success in their sport.
