Individual Awards
The Sport Scholarship programme at Nottingham Trent University has a number of specific awards that are tailored towards each individual student athlete. The aim of the scholarship programme at NTU is to provide a programme of support that enables elite athletes to achieve academic and sporting success whilst studying at the University and subsequently enhance the University’s sporting profile and reputation.

Awards
Tier One and Tier Two Awards: Offer scholars a comprehensive support package and a financial bursary of either £2,000 or £1,000 per year according to the level at which they are competing. Scholarships are typically awarded to individuals competing at junior or senior international level.
Recognition Awards: Offers scholars a comprehensive support package to help balance their academic studies with sporting commitments throughout the year.
Alumni Fund Awards: Offers scholars a comprehensive support package and a financial bursary from the Alumni Fund of £1,250 per year. Typically two scholarships are awarded to individuals competing at a junior or senior international level.
Priority Sports
Due to the competitive nature of University sport and the need to focus the resources in an efficient way, we have a number of sports that have been identified as a priority. Any applications received are therefore assessed by use of selection criteria and allocated accordingly until all available funding is committed for the year ahead.
Eligibility
To become an NTU Sport Scholar individuals must be currently enrolled on an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course at NTU or in the process of applying to become an NTU student for the next academic year.
