Support Packages

All NTU Sport Scholars receive an individually tailored package of support designed to help balance their academic and sporting commitments throughout the year.

The following comprehensive support package is available to all NTU Sport scholars:

Scholarship benefits

Benefit	Additional information
NTU Sport and Fitness Membership (plus High Performance Centre Access)	All scholars receive a complimentary Sport and Fitness membership allowing unlimited access to all NTU Sport and Fitness facilities including the High Performance Centre. Membership also covers BUCS Fees that include competition entry and travel expenses throughout the year when participating for NTU in BUCS competitions.
Physiotherapy	All scholars can access support from Rushcliffe Physiotherapy Clinic (RPC) for injury rehab and prevention sessions when required. Appointments are available to book directly through RPC with a Scholars Clinic on Monday at the City site and Tuesday at Clifton campus.
Performance Lifestyle Support	All scholars have access to lifestyle support through regular meetings with the Elite Sport Development Officer at NTU. Areas of support include the balance of academic studies and sporting commitments, goal setting, athlete performance, sports nutrition and career pathways.
Academic Flexibility	All scholars are offered support to address any clashes with sporting and academic commitments that occur throughout the year. Flexible study arrangements can also be discussed with the relevant academic staff.
Sport Scholar Kit	All scholars will receive specific NTU Sport Scholar Kit to wear for BUCS fixtures/events and promotional events such as Open Days.
Performance Athlete Workshops	All scholars will be able to access performance athlete workshops held over the course of the year. A workshop timetable will be circulated at the start of the academic year with topics including C.V. Writing, Presentation Skills, Working with the Media, Public Speaking and Anti-Doping.
