Hayley Glenn

Hayley Glenn has competed against Australia in the Indoor Cricket Ashes Series in 2003, as well as the Women’s Indoor Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka in 2004. In October 2007 she was selected for the England team that took part in an international tour of South Africa. She said:

“The tour provided an amazing experience that provided the opportunity to play against the two best teams in the world, South Africa and Australia.”

Hayley enjoyed watching and playing against some of the best indoor cricketers in the world, with some of the biggest crowds that they have ever experienced. A particular highlight for Hayley was “the incredible honour” of captaining the England team in the final game of the tournament against Australia.

Alongside her impressive cricketing career, Hayley works at Castle College Nottingham as a tutor on the pre-16 provision - a behaviour management programme - and receives lots of support from her employers for her cricket.

Hayley said:

“I am hoping to have a good season playing outdoor cricket, developing my spin bowling and batting at the top of the batting order. I hope this will contribute to future success in the indoor version of the game.”
