TASS and NPC

Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is proud to be able to support elite athletes throughout the East Midlands, in a wide variety of sporting disciplines.

Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS)

NTU is one of only 13 TASS hubs in the country. Each year NTU supports over 30 athletes within the East Midlands area who are part of the TASS programme. The TASS scheme is a government funded programme set up to support talented student-athletes combine academic studies with sporting performance. Nominations for TASS awards are through National Governing Bodies (NGBs). For more information please contact your NGB or visit the TASS website.

East Midlands National Performance Centre (NPC)

Along with Loughborough and Nottingham Universities, NTU are home to the East Midlands National Performance Centre for Hockey. The NPC offers Hockey players specialised performance support enabling management of academic and sporting demands. Selection of NPC players is through England Hockey.
