Charity Varsity series
We are the (Varsity) Champions - Again!
Having won a closely fought series 8 – 6 in 2010, NTU's superb sports teams locked horns once again with our friends and rivals from the University of Nottingham… and the Charity Varsity Series provided some great drama!
The 2011 series finished with a draw 7 - 7 - meaning that, as holders, Nottingham Trent University retain the coveted Trophy - a feat never once before accomplished by either University.
NTU is looking to you - its proud and loyal students - to turn out in force to support our teams this year as we battle to retain the Varsity trophy once again and keep it in its rightful home - here at NTU!
The Varsity fixtures are now published, and includes the extremely popular Ice Hockey at the National Ice Centre – with the near 7,000 capacity crowd creating a fantastic atmosphere, and the respective University cheerleading squads keeping the excitement at fever pitch.
