Volunteer with Cerebral Palsy Sport

Post No: CPS001

Cerebral Palsy Sport promotes and seeks to increase sport and physical recreational opportunities for people with a disability and especially those who have cerebral palsy.

CP Sport's primary aim is to attract more people to become involved in sporting activities for the pursuit of excellence or for fun and enjoyment. Among the activities covered by CP Sport are athletics, boccia, bowls, football, swimming and table cricket.

CP Sport is a registered charity and receive no government or Lottery funding and rely entirely on donations and in kind support from individuals, charitable trusts and business organisations.

They are therefore looking for fundraising volunteers to assist in raising money for their much needed work. NTU has a special link with them this year too, as they have been chosen as the designated Charity for the Varsity series this year. So if you would like some event management, fundraising or associated experience, then please get involved.

CP Sport are also setting up a Schools Speaker programme where, after training, volunteers go into schools to raise awareness of the vital work that charities are doing. Opportunities also exist in one-off sporting events that CP Sport help to organise or are charity beneficiaries for.

Training will be provided in advance of both events. For further information please submit your details, or email ViS.
